local code requires the use of conduit. If conduit is not required, you can use an SAT sensor.

PAT sensor specifications
Operating range -40° to 245°F (-40° to 118°C) with a nominal resistance of 10,000 ohms at
77°F (25°C). See table below.

Physical Has a thermistor encased with a 6-inch (15.2-cm) stainless steel probe. Has a
4x2-inch electrical box. Includes 2 mounting screws.
