Note that you cannot switch between • STD (standard time) and DST (daylight
saving time) while UTC* is selected as your Home City.
Coordinated Universal Time, the world-wide scientific standard of timekeeping. The *
reference point for UTC is Greenwich, England.
If you experience problems receiving the time calibration signal in your area, •
it probably is best to switch between Standard Time and Daylight Saving Time
(summer time) manually (page E-53).
STD/DST Switching
STD/DST switching can be performed either automatically or manually, depending
on time calibration signal reception conditions in your area, the use of daylight saving
time in your area, etc.
To configure the watch to switch between STD and DST automatically in −
accordance with a time calibration signal, see “To toggle the Home City time
between standard time and daylight saving time” (page E-51).
To override time calibration data and use a fixed STD/DST setting, see “To −
manually override a time calibration standard time/daylight saving time setting”
(page E-53).
