Common Faults and Troubleshooting of Transmission
There are two main types of transmission control system faults, which are
transmission faults and AMT system faults. Common transmission faults and their
troubleshooting methods are shown in the table below.
The shift fork is
deformed or
damaged; the shift
control unit (HCU) is
faulty
Check, correct or replace;
replace the faulty HCU.
Oil seal failure; liner
failure; failure of glue
on bolts
Replace the oil seal; replace
the gasket; apply the glue
and tighten the bolts again.
Excessive
noise and
abnormal
noise
The needle bearing of
the first shaft hole
fails; gear wear and
failure; the bearing is
worn and has large
play; synchronizer
failure; the
lubricating oil
is too low; gear
meshing clearance is
unreasonable
Replace the needle
bearing; replace the
relevant gear; replace the
bearing; replace the
synchronizer; add enough
lubricating oil; select
appropriate gear and adjust
the clearance.
Synchronizer failure;
improper installation
or damage of control
mechanism
Check and replace; check and
adjustment.
