The approximate amount of oil required for the gearbox assembly is given on
the nameplate of the gearbox.
To ensure that the oil level is level with the oil overflow port, the oil level height
shall be checked by the oil overflow port on the side of the housing, and the oil
level shall be added to the oil overflow port to overflow.
The height of the oil level should be checked regularly. Insufficient oil will
have serious consequences, especially when driving in mountainous areas.
Excessive oil is also harmful, increasing the loss of oil mixing and causing
overheating of the gearbox. When checking the oil level height, the vehicle
should stop on a level road. After driving, it cannot check the oil level
immediately, but should do it when the temperature of the lubricating oil
level and the oil temperature are slightly lower, so as to avoid the inaccurate
measurement caused by the volume expansion of the hot oil. If the oil level is
too low, fill the oil until there is overflow at the oil overflow port. When checking
the oil level, check whether the gearbox for oil leakage or seepage.
The maximum temperature of the gear during continuous operation shall
not exceed 212 ℉ (100 ℃ ), and the minimum temperature shall not be lower
than - 4 ℉ (- 20 ℃ ). If the operating temperature exceeds 212 ℉ (100 ℃ ),
the lubricating oil will decompose and the service life of the gearbox will be
shortened.
