system uses the engine to limit the torque and brake the wheels to keep the vehicle
from understeer (oversteer) and keep the vehicle running stably; during high-
speed driving, the ESC system will also ensure that the vehicle does not roll over,
thus improving the driving safety of the vehicle.
How to Judge Whether the ABS\ASR\ESC System Works Normally
When the ABS\ESC system is powered on, the ABS and ESC indicator lamps on the
instrument panel must be on. At this time, the system will sound four valve sounds
(4S/4M) during self-inspection. If there is no fault, the indicator lamps will go out
automatically 3 seconds later.
ABS\ESC indicator lamp, yellow in color, with power no more than 5W, is installed
on the instrument panel where the driver can easily observe. Flashing code
diagnosis can be made through ABS indicator lamp or ASR indicator lamp. If the
ESC indicator lamp is on for a long time, it means that the ESC is faulty, and if it is
flashing, it means that the ESC is working.
Only in case of emergency braking can the ABS system work. The braking deflection
may be caused by the uneven brake force of the left and right brakes caused by the
uneven adjustment of the brakes, and the brake system may have other problems if
the brake is not applied lightly.
When there is no ABS emergency braking, the drag marks are dark and continuous.
When there is ABS emergency braking, the brake drag marks are shallow and
intermittent.
When the vehicle is stationary, step on the brake pedal, the adjuster shall not leak
air, the brake push rod shall act quickly, release the brake pedal, and the brake push
rod shall return quickly.
Only when the ESC start speed is met, when the vehicle understeer (oversteer)
happens, the ESC system can work.
