PARKING BRAKE INSPECTION AND
1) Parking brake lever inspection.

pecified below.
b) If out of specification, adjust parking brake

c) Adjust to specification by loosening adjust

ADJUSTMENT
Hold
pull it up slowly with about 20 kg force until
brake is fully applied. While pulling it up, listen to
clicking sounds ratchet makes. As lever is pulled
up by one notch, one click is produced. If more
than 8 clicks are heard (i.e. more than 8 notches
are traversed), adjust parking brake cable.
NOTICE：
Check tooth tip of each notch for damage
or wear. If any damage or wear is found,
replace parking lever.

NOTICE：
Make sure for following conditions
cable adjustment.
z Rear brake s
hoes are not worn beyond
limit and self adjusting mechanism operates
properly.
z No air is trapped in brake system.
z Brake pedal travel is proper.
z Brake pedal has been depressed a few
times with about 30 kg
z Parking brake lever h
a few times with about 20 kg
force.
