CHANGHE FREEDOM SERVICE MANUAL GEAR SHIFTING CONTROL
INSTALLATION
Gear shift lever is installed by reversing
removal procedure. Some important steps will be
explained in detail.
NOTICE：
Be sure to apply gear oil to all parts
before installing them into gar shift lever case.
Gear Shift Lever Case
1）Install reverse shift limit dog, referring to
following figure for installation direction.
NOTICE：
This step applies to 5-speed type
transmission only.
Tightening torque
for reverse shift
limit bolt
18—28 N.m
（1.8—2.8 kg-m）
（13.5—20.0 lb-ft）
2）Install No.2 spring, gear shift lever.
NOTICE：
With 4-speed type transmission, fit spacer
between No.2 spring and gear shift lever.
3） Insert gear shift shaft into shift lever case
until groove“A”in shift shaft aligns with pinhole
“B”in shift lever case.
Make sure that gear shift lever and gear shift
shaft lever are at the same installation angle.
