Operation
4.3.1 AC Voltage Measurement
66200 Series Power Meter is able to measure V (RMS of AC voltage), Vpk+ (positive peak
voltage) and Vpk- (negative peak voltage) parameters. Not only the AC component, but also
the DC component will be measured. The displayed value is selected by the switch key
aside with the LED shows the parameter. Figure 4-3 is the AC voltage display on 66200
Series Power Meter and is refreshed every 0.5 second.

There are three voltage ranges 150, 300, 500 and AUTO for selection. Users can change it
through the switch key under voltage range display manually. The key setting sequence is
AUTO→150V→300V→500V→AUTO. When set to Auto (the initial setting) the Power
Meter will detect the input voltage and switch to an appropriate range. The range switching
mechanism is when the peak voltage of input voltage exceeds 1.6 times of present range it
skips to the upper range; and if the peak voltage is under 80% of 1.6 times RMS of the lower
range, it returns to the lower range. If the input voltage exceeds 1.6 times RMS of present
range when switching the range manually, the display will appear Over Voltage Range (OVR)
as Figure 4-4 shows.

Once it is adjusted to appropriate range, the display will be cancelled and the measurement
function will resume to normal.
L NOTE
Since the frequency cannot be detected when the voltage is pure DC, the 66200 Series will
measure the voltage and current using 60Hz for sampling and calculation.
