Digital Power Meter 66200 Series User’s Manual
4.3.2 AC Current Measurement
The 66200 Series Power Meter is able to measure I (RMS of AC current), Ipk+ (positive peak
current), Ipk- (negative peak current) and Is (Inrush current) 4 parameters. Not only the AC
component, but also the DC component will be measured. The required current parameter is
selected by the switch key aside the display. Figure 4-5 and 4-6 show the AC current
readouts of 66201 and 66202 Power Meters.

Is (Inrush current)
The Is selection in 66202 Power Meter is for users to measure the Inrush current when
powering on the UUT. See 4.4.4 Is/Trig Function (Inrush Current Test) for detail settings.
For current measurement, the 66202 Power Meter has Low Shunt and High Shunt two
modules. See 4.4.1 Shunt Function for setting Shunt module. For Low Shunt module there
are 0.01A, 0.1A, 0.4A, 2A four current ranges and AUTO for selection; while High Shunt has
0.2A, 2A, 8A, 20A four current ranges and AUTO for selection. Users can change it through
the switch key under current range display manually. The key setting sequence is:
Low Shunt Module: AUTO→0.01A→0.1A→0.4A→2A→AUTO
High Shunt Module: AUTO→0.2A→2A→8A→20A→AUTO
When in Auto mode, the Power Meter will detect the input current and switch to an
