Chapter 3 Installing the Router
Connecting to a Network
Warning
Do not work on the system, or connect or disconnect cables during periods of lightning activity.

To connect your router to a network, connect the Ethernet or Token Ring port to a hub or directly to a
switch such as a Cisco Catalyst 3900. (See Figure 3-24 or Figure 3-25.)
