Step 2
Check the Syslog check box.
Step 3 In the Syslog Server IP Address field, enter the IP address of the server to which to send the system log.
Step 4 Choose a logging level from the Message Log Level drop-down box.
There are five logging levels from which you can choose:
Critical Failure
Software Error
Authentication or Security Errors
Unexpected Software Events
Significant System Events
When you choose a logging level, the system logs messages for that level and for the levels above it. For
example, if you choose Unexpected Software Events, the system logs unexpected software events,
authentication or security errors, software errors, and critical failures.
Step 5 Click Apply to commit your changes.
Step 6 Click Save Configuration to save your changes.
Step 7 To view the message logs, click Management and then Message Logs under Logs (see Figure 4-6).
