Setting the valve timing.
Peg :
The engine flywheel, tool [3] (from below the vehicle).
The camshaft, tool [5].
Slacken :
The three screws (21).
The screw (19) of the tensioner roller (20).
Remove the timing belt (22).
Checks.
IMPERATIVE : Just before refitting, carry out the checks below :
Check that :
- the rollers (20), (23) and the coolant pump turn freely (without play or tightness).
- there are no traces of oil (on camshaft or crankshaft)
- there are no leaks of engine coolant (coolant pump).
Replace defective components if necessary.
