When towing
Distribution of loads
F Distribute the load in the trailer so that the
heaviestitemsareascloseaspossibleto
theaxleandthenoseweightapproachesthe
maximumpermittedwithoutexceedingit.
Air density decreases with altitude,
thusreducingengineperformance.
Above1000metres,themaximumtowed
loadmustbereducedby10%forevery
1000metresofaltitude.
Side wind
F Takeintoaccounttheincreasedsensitivity
tosidewind.

onthetrailerandthehadlampbeamheight
ofyourvehicle.

deactivatedautomaticallyifagenuine

Cooling
Towingatraileronaslopeincreasesthe
temperatureofthecoolant.
Asthefaniselectricallycontrolled,itscooling
capacityisnotdependentontheenginespeed.
F Tolowertheenginespeed,reduceyour
speed.
Themaximumtowedloadonalongincline
dependsonthegradientandtheambient
temperature.
