Starting the engine
Itisnotnecessarytoplacetheelectronickeyin
thereader.
F Briefly press the "START/
STOP"buttonwhilemaintaining
pressure on the pedal until the
enginestarts.
Thesteeringcolumnunlocksandthe
enginestarts.

Ifthiswarninglampcomesonafter
pressing"START/STOP", you should
holdthebrakeorclutchpedaldown
untilthewarninglampgoesoffanddo
not press the "START/STOP" button
again.
Ifoneofthestartingconditionsisnot
met,aremindermessageappearsin
theinstrumentpanelscreen.Insome
circumstances,itisnecessarytoturn
thesteeringwheelslightlywhilepressing
the "START/STOP" button to assist
unlockingofthesteering;amessage
warnsyouwhenthisisneeded.
Iftheelectronickeyisnotdetectedin
thezone,amessageisdisplayed.Move
theelectronickeyintothezonesothat
theenginecanbestarted.
The presence of the "Keyless Entry
andStarting"electronickeyinthe
recognitionzoneisessential.
Asasafetymeasure,donotleavethis
zonewiththevehiclerunning.
Intemperaturesbelowzero
theenginewillnotstartuntil
thepreheaterwarninglamp
hasgoneoff.
F PlacethegearselectorleverP or N with
anautomaticgearbox,orneutralwitha
manualgearbox.
F Withtheelectronickeyinsidethevehicle,
pressthebrakepedalforvehicleswithan
automaticgearbox,orfullydeclutchfor
vehicleswithamanualgearbox.
