betweentwopositions).
Stopping the vehicle
If the selector is not in position P,
whenthedriver'sdoorisopenedor
approximately45secondsafterthe
ignitionisswitchedoff,thereisan
audiblesignalandamessageappears.
F Return the selector to position P;
theaudiblesignalstopsandthe
messagedisappears.
F Select position M for sequentialchanging
ofthesixgears.
F Push the selector towards the +signto
changeupagear.
F Pull the selector towards the -signto
changedownagear.
Itisonlypossibletochangefromonegearto
anotherifthevehiclespeedandenginespeed
permit;otherwise,thegearboxwilloperate
temporarilyinautomaticmode.
Iftheenginespeedistoolowortoohigh,the
gearselectedflashesforafewseconds,then
theactualgearengagedisdisplayed.
Whenthevehicleisstationaryormoving
veryslowly,thegearboxselectsgear1
automatically.
It is not necessary to release the accelerator
whenchanginggear.
ItispossibletochangefrompositionD
(automatic)topositionM(manual)atanytime.
Thesportandsnowprogrammesdonot
operateinmanualmode.
Beforeswitchingofftheengine,puttheselector
in position P or Ntoplacethegearboxin
neutral.
Inbothcases,applytheparkingbraketo
immobilisethevehicle,unlessitisprogrammed
toautomaticmode.
