Temporarily exceeding the
programmed speed
Whendescendingasteephill,the
cruisecontrolsystemcannotprevent
thevehiclefromexceedingthe
programmedspeed.
Whenrequired(overtakingmanoeuvre...),itis
possibletoexceedtheprogrammedspeedby
pressingtheacceleratorpedal.
Thecruisecontrolistemporarilyoverridden
andtheprogrammedspeedsettingflashes.
Only use the cruise control if the traffic
conditions will allow you to drive for a
certaintimeatasteadyspeedandata
safedistancefromthevehicleahead.
Do not activate the cruise control in
urbanareas,inheavytraffic,onwinding
or steep roads, on slippery or flooded
roads, or in conditions of poor visibility
(heavyrain,fog,fallingsnow...).
Insomecircumstances,itmaynot
bepossibletomaintainorreachthe
programmedspeed:towing,vehicle
heavilyloaded,steepclimb.
Theuseofmatsnotapprovedby
CITROËNmayinterferewiththe
operationofthecruisecontrol.
Toavoidanyriskofjammingofthe
pedals:
- ensurethatthematispositioned
correctly,
- neverfitonematontopofanother.
Toreturntotheprogrammedspeed,simply
releasetheacceleratorpedal.
Once the vehicle has returned to the
programmedspeed,thecruisecontroltakes
overagain:thedisplayoftheprogrammed
speedsettingbecomessteadyagain.
Youmayhavetobraketocontrolthespeedof
yourvehicle.Inthiscase,thecruisecontrolis
automaticallypaused.
Toactivatethesystemagain,pressbutton4.
Switching off
F Turn wheel 1 to the "0"position:thecruise
controlinformationdisappearsfromthe
screen.
Operating fault
Flashingdashesindicateafaultwiththecruise
controlsystem.
