Dual modem operation
The SAILOR XTR GX-R2 antenna can receive from 17.7 GHz to 20.2 GHz in three
overlapping bands of 1 GHz. It is important that the SLM-5650 Rx frequency is
configured to match these Rx bands. See the table below.
On the generic satellite profile, it is possible to enable the profile to activate GPIO3 pin
when the profile is active. The GPIO3 pin (VSAT profile active) must be connected to
the electronically steered RF switch so the Tx signal is switched to use the Comtech
SLM-5650 modem Tx when the profile is activated. See the table below for RJ-45 GPIO
pinout.
C.2.6 Commissioning
After installation it is necessary to commission each modem individually.
Activate the GX satellite profile and perform OTC as described in Manual OTC (BUC
calibration) and GX modem access on page 3-37.
Activate the generic satellite profile in order to commission the Comtech SLM-5650
modem with the airtime provider
