RS-232 and RS-422 connectors
The 407523A GX-R2 Modem Unit has two sets of serial interfaces (RS-232 and RS-422)
for control information to and from the BDU.
The two sets of serial ports on the backplane are of two different physical interface
standards: One set DB9 and one set RJ-45.
The RJ-45 RS-232 and RS-422 are used for connection to 407516A SAILOR XTR BDU.
Note
The DB9 interface is not used with SAILOR XTR GX-R2 but is used for
backwards compatibility when replacing a GMU in a legacy SAILOR GX or
SAILOR GX-R2 system.
