Replacing the Desiccant Wheel
Motor
1 Stop the dryer, disconnect and lockout the main power.
2 Remove the plastic cover from the dryer.
3 Disconnect wires to the desiccant wheel motor.
4 Remove the two (2) screws then remove the motor and motor bracket
from the wheel manifold.
5 Loosen the set screw then remove the coupling from the motor shaft.
6 Remove the four (4) screws then remove the motor from the motor
bracket.
7 Align the new motor with the holes in the original bracket. Secure the
new motor to the bracket using the original four (4) screws.
8 Position the coupling on the motor shaft and tighten the set screw against
the flat side of the motor shaft.
9 Position the motor and bracket on the desiccant wheel manifold. Secure
the assembly using the original two (2) screws.
NOTE: It may be necessary to apply power to the motor to position the coupling. Do not
turn the motor shaft by hand. This will damage the gears.
10 Connect the wires to the motor.
11 Replace the plastic cover.
CAUTION: Always disconnect and lock out the main power sources
before making electrical connections. Electrical connections should be
made only by qualified personnel.
