Accessing the smart card on scanner models: HD5450, HD4250, HD4230, HD3650, HD3630:
Remove the scanner’s right side cover. The Smart Card is placed in the card insertion slot above the scanner interface
connectors.
Insert your thumb in the slot at the top of the interface cover. Push
down to snap the lid open.
Remove the interface cover with both hands.

The cover must always be closed before you turn the scanner ON.
