Text messages
The SD3 can send text messages to mobile telephones using the standard SMS
(Short Message Service) messaging. The unit can store up to eight alarm mes-
sages, each with up to 40-characters.
Note: The optional GSM module is required to allow the SD3 to send text
messages.
When the unit sends a text message, it adds the “site message” with a time and
date stamp (see Set date and time).
Messages should normally hold the name or details of the location being protect
-
ed.
