Speed.
The machine must be driven at speed that is suitable for the conditions of the terrain (flat and solid ground), with the load
always visible. Avoid sudden ac celeration and braking, and tight corneringat high speed. The machineor the tractor may roll
over, and movement of the load‐consisting of
the machine and any materials to be spread‐must not be underestimated.
The maximum speed allowed in optimum conditions is 40 km/h. Never exceed 5 km/h in reverse. Fatal accidents may occur

13
Couplingorhitchingsystems.
All tractor hitching systems must be in perfect condition before attaching them to the machine.Depending on the machine
used, the lifting points, arms and tow bar must be suitably adjusted. All support devices must be replaced periodically (pins,
safetypins...).
14
Driveshaftcoupling.
Only use the drive shafts supplied with the machine and in perfect condition, the right length and correctly engaged. Any
damaged protection devices, even slightly, must be replace d with original componen ts. Before startin g operation, and in any
case after every 8 hours of operation, switch off the engine, clean and grease the drive shaft, including before an extended
periodofinactivity.Ifusinginwinter,theprotectivetubesshouldbegreasedtoavoidgrippingduetothecold.
Carefully
read the manual supplied with the drive shaft.

Never approach the machine if, accidentally, it is not safely parked and stabilised, even if the machine is correctly attached
tothetractor.
18
Safetydevices.
The safety devices must never be removed, for any reason. If the safety devices are removed during maintenance or
adjustments,theymustbereturnedtotheiroriginalpositionbeforestartingwork.
19
Maintenanceandadjustments.
Maintenance and adjustments must be performed by suitably trained and authorised personnel, when the machine is
cold, to avoid the danger of burns, fire and explosions. The tractor must be off, removing the keys from the ignition. After
unhitching the machine from the tractor, it must be suitably parked and stabilised, on flat and solid ground, so as to avoid
mechanicaldangerssuchastrappingandcrushing.
20
Laddersandaccesspoints.
Keep the ladders and operator access points clean. These can only be used to access the machine when the tractor is off,
removing the keys from the ignition, and when the machine is suitably parked and stabilised.Th e accumulation of debris

Loadingwithautomaticequipment.
The products to be spread must beloaded in conditions of complete safety and in compliance with the standards in force on
occupational health and safety. When loading sacks exceeding 30 kg in weight, use cranes with a suitable load capacity. The
