1. WORK AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
SElf-propelled mowing machines type AC 92-18, AC 92-20 and AC 92-23 4x4 SOLD UNDER THE NAME
CROSSJET ARE MANUFACTURED ACCORDING TO VALID EUROPEAN SAFETY RULES AND
REGULATIONS.
1.1 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before first use, read this manual entirely. Observe all rules and regulations contained in the user's manual. If
these rules have not been complied with during the use of the machine, the manufacturer shall be not liable for
any damages or repairs. All costs in connection with the incorrect use shall be paid by the owner of the machine
and the right to claim warranty shall be lost.
Caution !!!
If you do not comply with the safety rules, your machine may be very dangerous. Hands or legs may be
cut out and objects may be catapulted away, causing serious injuries to the operating personnel.Never
put your legs or hands underneath the mowing mechanism cover.Never stay or try to get close to the
spinning or moving machine parts.
Do not use the machine if it is damaged or if you find missing part or safety element. All protective covers and
safety elements must be installed and present all the time. Do not remove or disable any safety elements or
covers. Inspect safety elements for correct function regularly.
It is prohibited to perform any technical modifications, without prior written notice of the manufacturer.
Unauthorized modifications may endanger the safe operations and may cause cancellation of the warranty policy.
Do not try to change the engine rpm regulator or the rpm limiting governor.
Do not remove any safety labels or stickers from your machine.
Before use make sure that you are familiar with all control elements and that you are able to operate them quickly
in emergencies. Make sure you know how to switch the engine or how to stop the machine quickly.
Maintain your machine and all its accessories clean and in good working conditions.
This machine may be only operated by a person 18 years or older, who has been properly trained in the operation
procedures.
The machine may not be used on slopes greater than 18° (32%).
Your machine has not been designed for driving on public roads!
The user of the machine is reliable for safety of persons present near-by or within the operation range.
Do not stay too close to the operating machine. Do not stay under the lifted mowing mechanism if it is not
properly secured against fall.
It is prohibited to transport additional persons, animals or object on your machine. You may transport objects only
on a pull-trailer that has been approved by the machine manufacturer.
Remove the ignition keys from the ignition box, even if you are leaving your machine for short while.
If you are using your machine in an area where no mowing is performed, always lift the mowing mechanism up to
the transporting position.
The mowing mechanism must be always lifted if it is switched off.
Make sure to switch the mowing mechanism and the engine off and remove the ignition key out before or if:
performing any maintenance
cleaning the mowing mechanism
if you drove over a foreign object and you want to find out if any damages have occurred or if you are
trying to repair such damage.
you feel unusual vibrations and you want to find the cause
engine or any other repairs (also disconnect spark plug cables)
Before mowing, remove all objects such as stones, wood, wires, bones, tree branches and any other object that
may be dangerous and may be thrown away during mowing.
Make sure to steer away from molehills, concrete pedestals, tree chumps, pavement edges and other obstacles
that will damage the mowing mechanism or the mowing knifes.
