Caution !!!
Use the differential lock only during straight forward driving and only if needed (to prevent skid).
Never use the differential lock when you change the driving direction.
If you do so, you may seriously damage the transmission!
6.2 OPERATION AND USE
1.4 Machine safety features
Your mowing machine is equipped with safety contacts that are connected with the switch located underneath the
driver seat. The engine will stop automatically if the driver leaves the seat. The engine may be started only if the
mowing mechanism is off and the height setting lever is in the transport position.
6.2.1 STARTING THE ENGINE
• Check the gasoline level in the tank.
• Check the oil level in the transmission equalizing tank.
• Check if the by-pass lever is in the "1" position; tHAT IS ON.
• Sit comfortably on the driver seat and lift the mowing mechanism lever 6.1.8 to the transport position.
• Move the mowing mechanism switch 6.1.1 to the OFF position.
• Move the travel control lever 6.1.5 to the N position. If the lever is not in this position, the engine cannot be
started.
• Step on the break pedal 6.1.10.
• Move the gas control lever 6.1.3 to the maximum engine speed (rpm).
• Pull out the choke lever 6.1.4.
• Do not touch or use the mowing mechanism lifting level 6.1.8.
• Turn the key in the ignition box 6.1.2 to the "START“position. Make sure you do not start the engine for more
than 10 seconds. Otherwise you may damage the battery switch.
• If the engine starts to run, release the keys. The key will automatically return to the "ON" position.
• Gradually push the choke 6.1.4 in.
• Slowly move the gas lever 6.1.3 to the idle position (lower the engine rpms).
• Let the engine run for a few minutes before engaging the mowing mechanism.
6.2.2 STOPPING THE ENGINE
• Move the gas control lever 6.1.3 to the "MIN" position.
• Switch off the mowing mechanism with the switch 6.1.1 ( see chapter 6.2.3).
• If the engine is too hot, let it run on idle for a while.
• Turn off the engine by turning the key 6.1.2 to the "STOP" position and remove the key from the ignition box.
Caution !!!
Never shut the engine off by leaving the driver seat. Leaving the key in the ignition box in the "ON“
position may damage the electrical system. Always turn the key to the "OFF" position and remove it from
the ignition box.
Important
Before switching the ignition off, lower the engine speed to minimum to prevent self-ignition. Otherwise
you may damage the engine and the exhaust.
6.2.3 TURNING THE MOWING MECHANISM ON AND OFF
a) Turning it on
• Move the gas control lever 6.1.3 to maximum engine speed (rpm).
• Adjust the working position of the mowing mechanism. Use the lifting lever to set the cutting height (see
chapter 6.1.8 a 6.2.4).
• Move the mowing mechanism switch 6.1.1. to the ON position.
• The mowing mechanism may be switched on only if:
- the driver is sitting on the driver seat
- the mowing mechanism lever is not in the transport position
