DESCRIPTION AND USE
1.2 USING YOUR MACHINE
Mowing machines AC92 sold under the name Crossjet, models AC92-18(20) or AC92-23 4x4 are double-axle
mowing machines, designed for grass cutting on landscaped or rural areas and slopes with inclination up to
18°(32%), where all foreign objects (stones, bones, branches and pieces of wood etc.) had been removed prior to
cutting. You may also cut old bushes such as raspberry or other resilient weed plants. The power output is 0,6 -
0,75 ha/hour, depending on the type of the vegetation and terrain. The cutting width is 92cm. Machine offers high
reliability and durability, as well as easy control.
You may connect only accessories that are approved by the manufacturer. Using other than approved
accessories will void warranty policy immediately.
2.2 TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
Mowing machines Crossjet AC92-18 / AC92-20 /AC92-23 4x4 are divided into these basic groups:
2.2.1 Machine frame
The frame is welded together using steel pipes and metal sheet 3 mm thick. The frame is the main supporting
structure of the engine, transmission, front and rear axles, power train, mowing mechanism and other machine
equipment.
2.2.2 Engine including the electrical wiring
Engines used in our mowing machines are four-cycle, gasoline engines with vertical output shaft. Engine is
mounted on the rear part of the frame. The engine power is transmitted to the transmission via V-belt. Battery
used for the engine start is located under the front hood.
2.2.3 Transmission including the rear wheel drive
The transmission uses hydro-static power transfer system. That means, that the gear shifting is done simply by
moving the shifting stick forward or backward. The power train is equipped with differential lock.
Model AC92-23 4x4 uses four wheel drive and the engine power (or its part) is transmitted to the rear and front
axle via hydraulic distribution system. The all wheel drive is not permanent. It is distributed automatically and the
power is divided according to the current driving conditions and driving style (forward or reverse).
2.2.4 Front wheel axle including the steering mechanism
Models AC92-18 / AC92-20 are equipped with massive front axle, made from strong steel pipes. The axle is
housed on a hollow stud enabling the axle to move from side to side. The vertical studs are housed in friction
bearings. Rack and pinion mechanism is used to control the steering.
Model AC92-23 4x4 is also equipped with front wheel drive. 2.2.3. The front wheel axle has no differential lock!
The rack and pinion steering system controls the steering directly via a connecting shaft.
2.2.5 By-pass
The by-pass lever is located on the rear machine panel. It is used to switch off and on the rear wheel drive.
Caution !!!
WARNING!Model AC92-23 4x4 is equipped with permanent front wheel drive. It is due to the design of the
hydraulic system that does not have a by-pass valve. This significantly limits the machine movement
when the engine is off.The front axle may get overloaded during motion attempt and may be damaged.
The by-pass lever is mostly used to bleed the air out of the hydraulic system.Due to the complicated
design, it is best to have such repair done at an authorized service centre.
The machine must not be used (the gear engaged) when the by-pass lever is in the OFF
position. You may seriously damage the transmissions!
