Adding and Deleting Users
Access to the console program, whether using the diagnostic port or
TELNET, is controlled by user names and passwords. Up to three user
names can be defined. One user, named
D-Link
, is defined by default; this
user name can be removed if desired. However, the console program will not
let you delete the currently logged-in user to prevent you from accidentally
deleting all users with
Super User
privileges – making it impossible to
change important hub settings.
Only users with
Super User
privileges can add and delete users.
Add a User
To add a new user, perform these steps:
1.
Choose
User Account Change
from the main menu. The following
screen will appear:

Create New User
Change Access/Delete Users
Change Password
EXIT

Choose
Create New User
from the User Account Change menu.
