● Remove the dust seal.
● Remove the set ring.
● Remove the oil seal.

If the socket bolt turns idle but cannot be
removed, temporarily assemble the spring and
the fork tube cap bolt first.
Hold the bottom case firmly with a vise, taking
precautions not to distort or damage it.
Take precautions not to damage the interior and
exterior rim of the bottom case.
