Electrical FAQ Section
Question 1: What is FLA?
Answer: Full load amp
Question 2: What is MCA?
Answer: Minimum circuit ampacity. This is used to help determine the wire size.
Question 3: What is MOP?
Answer: Maximum Overcurrent Protection device. This is to help determine the maximum protective
device.
Question 4: What is the input voltage tolerance?
Answer: In general it is +/- 10% but refer to Electrical Section for more details.
Question 5: Will all units operate at 50 or 60 hertz power?
Answer: No. This depends on the model and options selected. Consult with Data Aire for details.
Question 6: Does the unit require an electrical ground?
Answer: Yes. All units require a true earth ground.
Question 7: What size field wire size is required to connect to unit?
Answer: Refer to National Electric Code for wire ampacities size.
Question 8: Does the condensate pump require separate power source?
Answer: Floor unit with unit mounted condensate pump is powered by the unit.
Question 9: Can I install an Emergency Power Off (EPO) switch, and if so, where is it installed?
Answer: Yes, an Emergency power Off (EPO) switch can be installed. Refer to the electrical diagrams
and locate the terminal strip that is designated as the Remote Shutdown Contacts.
