Motion Detect Tab
Motion Detect settings allow you to select how the system will react when motion is detected on selected
or all Channels (Cameras).
PTZ and Tour features required a PTZ camera – not included in Defender® kits.
Ch anne l:
Click to select the Channel (Camera) for setup.
Enable :
When selected motion detection is enabled on the selected Channel (Camera).
Re gion S et:
Click to configure the areas of the camera view that will be enabled for motion
detection. This can be useful if there is an area that does not need to be recorded or
to block out areas that may trigger motion recording (ex: traffic in the background). A
grid will appear over the camera image. You can setup up to 4 motion detection areas
and customize the sensitivity and threshold for each region.
Click the grid area to select. Areas enabled for motion detection will appear in RED.
Disabled areas will be transparent.
Click the slide ba
r to set the Sensitivity and Threshold.
Sensitivity: Determines how sensitive the camera is to motion – if sensitivity is
high a small amount of motion will trigger an event. Recommended sensitivity
setting is between 30 and 70.
