1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
3. Remove all the drive carriers from the mid drive tray.
4. Disconnect all the cables from the backplane.

Press the release tabs and lift the backplane out of the drive tray.

Align the drive backplane with the guide pin on the system and lower the drive backplane into the system until it is firmly seated.
