Removing the Battery

Prerequisites
Remove the base cover. See "Removing the Base Cover" on page 12.
Procedure
1 Disconnect the battery cable from the system-board connector.
2 Remove the screws that secure the battery to the computer base.
3 Using the battery cable, lift the battery and release it from the tabs on the computer
base.
4 Turn the computer over and open the display as far as possible.
5 Press and hold the power button for five seconds to ground the system board.
