Base cover
Removing the base cover
1 Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2 To remove the base cover:
a Loosen the 8 captive screws that secure the base cover to the system [1].
b Pry the base cover from the recess at the top edge [2] and continue prying throughout the outer sides of the base cover in
clockwise direction to release the base cover.
NOTE: You may need a plastic scribe to pry the base cover from the edges.
c Lift the base cover from the system.
