Procedure
1 Align the screw holes on the keyboard with the screw holes on the palm-rest
assembly.
2 Replace the 31 screws (M1.6x1.5) that secure the keyboard to the palm-rest
assembly.
3 Adhere the Mylar to the screws that secure the keyboard to the palm-rest
assembly.
4 Connect the keyboard cable and keyboard-backlight cable to the keyboard-
controls board.

1 Replace the system board.
2 Follow the procedure from step 3 to step 6 in “Replacing the hard drive”.
3 Replace the battery (half-length) or the battery (full-length).
