3 Functions of Devices in DVP-PM
DVP-PM Application Manual
3-61
b5 b4 Pulse output type (positive logic) Explanation
1 1
b6 of D1816 (D1896, D1976, D2056): PWM mode (for DVP-10PM only)
B(6) = 1, PWM executes.
(1) When the operation command “JOG+ operation” is enabled, PWM will be executed on Y0~Y3.
(2) When the operation command “single speed positioning” is enabled, single speed positioning will be
executed on Y0~Y3 with single-phase pulses.
(3) PWM pulse width setting: D1838, D1918, D1998, D2078
(4) PWM cycle setting: D1842, D1922, D2002, D2082
b8 of D1816 (D1896, D1976, D2056): zero return direction
b[8] = 0: Zero return executes in positive direction, i.e. current position(CP) increases.
b[8] = 1: Zero return executes in negative direction, i.e. current position(CP) decreases.
b9 of D1816 (D1896, D1976, D2056): zero return mode
b[9] = 0: normal mode. When DOG signal is generated, after the specified PG0 signals (N) then the following
pulse signals (P), the motor will stop immediately.
b[9] = 1: overwrite mode. When DOG signal is generated, the motor will stop according to either PG0 signals (N)
or pulse signals (P), which is finished first.
b10 of D1816 (D1896, D1976, D2056): DOG signal rising/falling edge triggered
b[10] = 0: DOG signal falling edge triggered
b[10] = 1: DOG signal rising edge triggered
y b [9:10] = 00
: normal mode; DOG signal falling-edge triggered
1. Zero return: The motor operates at zero return speed V
RT
. When it encounters DOG signal, it will decelerate to
zero return deceleration speed V
CR
. If the falling edge of DOG signal is triggered, the motor will stop after the
specified PG0 signals (N) plus the specified pulse signals (P).
2. If the specified N or P is too small, when the falling edge of DOG signal is triggered, the motor will stop
immediately after the specified PG0 signals (N) plus the specified pulse signals (P), even if the zero return
deceleration speed is not yet reached.
3. If N and P are both set as “0”, the motor will stop immediately when the falling-edge of DOG signal is
triggered.
