WEIGHING UNIT SELECTION
NOTE: The following instructions apply to all models of the solo® Digital
Clinical Scale, the Eye-Level Physician scale, and the solo-RI Remote
Indicator scale.
Scale Initialization
When the scale is powered on for the first time, it will display a prompt to select the weighing
unit to use for your operation, lb (pounds) or kg (kilograms). Make sure you select the correct
weighing unit before proceeding.
1. Press the key to turn the scale on.
2. The display will show all digits on the display, change to show the software version for a
few seconds, and then show the current unit setting. Note that the default is lb (pounds).
3. If weighing in lb (pounds) is acceptable, press the key. Otherwise, use the © or ª
keys to change the weighing unit to kg (kilograms) and then press the key.
4. Once the unit is selected, it will be kept even after the batteries are replaced.
5. The scale is now ready for operation.
