8.1 Basic functions

Switching the appliance on
➤ Press the ON/OFF/VOLUME knob (fig. 2 3, page 3) to switch on the device.
or
➤ Press the POWER button (fig. 4 16, page 4) to switch on the device.
✓ The device switches on with the settings which were enabled the last time it was
used.
Switching the appliance off
➤ Keep the ON/OFF/VOLUME knob (fig. 2 3, page 3) pressed for two
seconds.
✓ The device is then in stand-by mode and displays date, time as well as on the
display.
➤ After this touch on the display to switch the device off.
or
➤ Press the POWER button (fig. 4 16, page 4) to switch the device off.
Setting the volume
➤ Turn the ON/OFF/VOLUME knob(fig. 2 3, page 3), to increase or decrease
the volume.
or
➤ Press the VOL + or VOL – buttons(fig. 4 25, page 4) on the remote control to
increase or decrease the volume.
The volume can be adjusted at levels of 0–39.
NOTE
The moniceiver can be operated using the buttons and the device
display or using the remote control.
