6.4 Loading Clips Reel Clips
Tipper Tie machines often use two clip reel pans instead of one. But
loading clip reels is the same procedure, whether your machine uses
one or two reel pans. On many Tipper Tie machines, operators will
require a step ladder to load the clip reels. Follow all safety
procedures for proper ladder use.
Your Tipper Tie machine may employ some type of clip guide or channel to
guide clips down to the clip rail. To load clips properly, gently guide them,
without pulling on the clips or exerting force on them, through any channels
or over any guide wheels or clip rollers.
First, load the clip reel, cardboard or plastic side down, onto the reel
pan.
Next, guide the clips through any channel or around any clip roller that
is used to direct and support the clips from clip reel to clip rail.
