14.8 Daily Preventive Maintenance
Prior to any maintenance or repair, use the following lockout and tag-out procedures:
Disconnect the main power and electrical supplies.
Attach power and electrical lockout devices.
Tag-out the machine before beginning any maintenance work.
Attempt to cycle the machine to ensure it is properly disabled.
Perform the required maintenance.
14.8.1 Inspect lubricators
Check and refill as necessary each of the air line oil lubricators (see Section 14.4) using a high-quality
SAE #10 pneumatic oil. Preferred drip rates are shown.
___ Main lubricator unit (one drop of oil for every 10-15 machine cycles)
___ Conveyor air motor lubricator (one drop for every 15-20 cycles)
___ Voider rotary actuator lubricator (one drop for every 10 cycles)
14.8.2 Grease lubrication fittings
Apply grease to the following lubrication fittings each day prior to running the machine. Refer to Section
14.7 Mechanical Systems Lubrication earlier in this chapter for additional information and locations.
___ Clipper pivot block (2 fittings)
___ Clipper pivot clevis (1)
___ Clipper swing eccentric (1)
___ Voider main shaft right end block bearing (1)
___ Voider main shaft moveable voider hub (1)
___ Voider main shaft stationary voider hub (1)
___ Voider main shaft left end bearing block (1)
___ Voider eccentric left end (1)
___ Voider guide shaft (2)
___ Conveyor shuttle roller (1)
