Chapter 7 – Recipe Descriptions
The touch screen uses a series of recipes to provide the operator with the ability to set or modify a variety
of operating parameters and features. This section describes the recipes, the valid range of the settings,
and the default system setting.

(Note: Depending on the program revision levels of both the Software Interface
and the PLC, some of these parameters may not be present or functional)

This option should be set to yes when the
RS4203 is coupled to Tipper Tie's
HS3AB and is using the film sealed by
the HS3AB. Set this option to "No" if
using shirred casing with the standard
horn installed.

Number of pieces or CHUBS per knife
cycle.

Used to enter the number of chubs
expected from a shirr of casing. This may
be used instead of the end of casing trip

(CYCLES)
An adjustable counter that sets the
number of times the knife will extend
during each clip cycle.

Counter which controls the number of
portions desired from the filler, prior to a
clip cycle.

HORN SIZE <= 2.5 INCH?
(YES/NO)
If the machine is configured with a 3-
position skin-brake, this option is used to
allow or prohibit the skin-brake from
going to the load position (off the horn)
depending on the horn size. For horns
greater than 2.5 inches, the skin-brake
housing is too large to fit between the
voiders; therefore, the skin-brake cannot
shuttle off the horn.

3 POSITION SKIN BRAKE ?
(YES/NO)
Used to select the proper skin-brake
shuttle configuration installed. Set to
YES, if the machine is configured with a
3-position skin-brake (i.e. clip, fill, and
load positions). set to NO, if the machine
is configured with a 2-position skin-brake
(i.e. clip and fill positions but not load
position).
