Upper Loop Strip Plate Adjustment
The Upper Loop Strip Plate is positioned as shown in Detail “E” below. In the up position, it is flush with
the bottom of the Tape Backup Plate, and in the down position it meets the Lower Loop Strip Plate. To
change the position, adjust clevis Q on the Upper Loop Strip Plate Cylinder as shown in Detail “C”.
Tolerance buildup may require the use of some 99-1182 washers as shims between the jam nut and the
clevis to get to the required positions. Tighten the clevis jam nut when the adjustments are complete.
Lower Loop Strip Plate Adjustment
The Lower Loop Strip Plate is positioned as shown in Detail “E”. In the down position, it is .562 from the
Tape Backup Plate, and in the up position it meets the Upper Loop Strip Plate. To change the position,
adjust clevis P on the Lower Loop Strip Plate Cylinder shown in Detail “C”. Tighten the clevis jam nut
when the adjustments are complete.
