Clutch lever
Lever (1) disengages the clutch. It features a dial
adjuster (2) for lever distance from the handgrip on
handlebar.
Turn knob (2) clockwise/counter clockwise to adjust
lever (1) distance from handgrip, according to the 16
positions adjusted by as many clicks.
Turn clockwise to increase lever distance from the
handgrip. Turn the adjuster anticlockwise to
decrease lever distance.
When the clutch lever (1) is operated, drive from the
engine to the gearbox and the drive wheel is
disengaged. Using the clutch properly is essential to
smooth riding, especially when moving OFF.
Using the clutch properly will avoid damage to
transmission and spare the engine.
Note
The engine can be with the side stand
down and the gearbox in neutral. If with a
gear engaged, pull in the clutch lever (in this case the
side stand must be up before engaging the gear).
Set clutch lever when motorcycle is stopped.
In case of a slipping clutch due to clutch wear,
adjuster (2) on the lever must NEVER be loosened,
but screwed, as described above.
If the clutch is still slipping, go to a Dealer or a Ducati
authorised service centre.
