12 THE SAFEST CHOICE Slimline Series RevB.doc1
Motor:
Three-phase, without brake, controlled by a
frequency inverter. Capacity: 0.75 kW for all surface
areas. Voltage: 3 x 230/400 V. Protection level
NEMA 4.
Stop positioning:
With an absolute encoder behind the motor.
Gear box:
With a worm drive, size 50 for a 0.75 kW motor. The
reduction ratio, 1/28 allows for the static reversal of
the gear box and prevents the door from closing by
gravitational force in the event that the motor does
not receive any power.
Compact control box:
In painted steel with lockable main fuse, a general
isolation switch, an adjustable timer for closing, a
push button for opening and a reset after a power
interruption, as well as an emergency stop button.
Protection level: NEMA 4. The length of the electric
cables between the various electric components
(motor and other standard components) allows the
switch box to be placed approximately 5’3” to control
box center to floor level and 4’ from the door, on the
side where the motor is located.
Detectors supplied with a standard door:
Infrared photocell system:
Infrared photoelectric cell, installed at approx. 30 mm
from the shaft of the door, which opens the door
immediately if it registers the presence of
pedestrians or vehicles, and keeps the door open as
long as that presence keeps registering. Level of the
photoelectric cell: 12” above floor level.
Curtain obstruction detector:
This detector is located at the top of the side guides
and checks whether loops are forming at the level of
the drum when there is an obstruction in the
trajectory of the curtain that prevents the door from
closing normally. This detector opens the door at the
same time.
