7 General concept DYNACO USA
46 THE SAFEST CHOICE Slimline Series RevB.doc1
7.6 Retaining straps.
Both sides of the curtain end on continuous retaining straps in polyurethane (PUR-95 grade shore A),
the profile and size of which were investigated for getting the essential DYNACO characteristics.
They ensure that:
The curtain is kept in its guides.
There is perfect seal of the sides to be assured.
It comes away from the side guides in the event of a collision.
The side guides are automatically return to the level of the reintroduction blocks.
7.7 Sealing
Because of the continuous retaining straps, the side guides that are fixed directly onto the structure,
the flexible bag at the bottom of the curtain that adjusts to any unevenness of the floor and the
curtain that presses against the drum in closed position, DYNACO D-313 doors offer a perfect seal.
7.8 Guaranteed 100% self-repairing curtain.
In the event of a collision, the retaining straps will be pulled out of the side guides completely, but
stay in the reintroduction blocks. To automatically bring the straps back into the side guides, all that
is necessary, is to open the door completely. No human intervention is needed.
Limit of self-repair: the following events are not fixed automatically:
4. Curtain is pulled from the attachment at the top.
5. Curtain or retaining straps on the side have been cut by a sharp object.
6. Retaining straps have been pulled out of the reintroduction blocks.
7.9 Drive.
A motor (without brake) drives the drum that winds the curtain up and down through a worm drive
gear box to open the door at a speed of 1.2 m/sec and close it at approximately 0.60 m/sec. closure
is by gravitational force. The motor is controlled by a frequency inverter, of which the parameters are
set in the factory, so that they perfectly match the mechanical part of the motor. The dynamic
breaking of the door is achieved with the frequency inverter that constantly feeds current into the
motor, and the door is kept open by the reversibility of the gear box.
7.10 Limits.
The limits are determined with an absolute encoder at the back of the motor. The absolute encoder is
a piece of equipment that continually transmits a code corresponding with the real and the absolute
position of the motor shaft.
