Part 3 Check for other conditions displayed by the controller
1 The left red LED flashing on the battery gauge signifies an extremely low battery charge:
Charge the batteries for at least 8 hours.
Refer to Step 1 for measuring the battery voltage.
If after performing the previous tests and the flashing still
persists, the controller will need to be returned.
2 A right-to-left LED chase on the battery gauge signifies that the Shark is in a locked state:
To un-lock the Shark, turn the controller on and press
the horn button twice within ten seconds.
3 A left-to-right LED chase on the battery gauge signifies that the Shark is in a charge inhibit:
Remove the battery charger from the charging port
If the flashing still persists after the charger has been
removed, the controller will need to be returned.
4 When all speedometer LEDs are flashing slowly, the Shark has detected an Out Of Neutral At
Power Up (OONAPU) condition:
Release the joystick back to the neutral position.
If the flashing still persists , calibrate the joystick using the Hand
Held Programmer (DX-HHP):
o Using the DK-Adapter (DK-ADAPT), plug the DX-HHP into
the battery charging port.
o Select “TECH” and enter password: 262. Press “OK”.
o Press “PROG” until the phrase “Calibrate Joystick?”
appears on the screen.
o When asked to “Calibrate Joystick?” select “YES”
o Deflect the joystick in each of the directions displayed
by the DX-HHP until the “#” symbol appears next to the
word. Do this twice.
o When the calibration has been completed, press
