The 9355 UPS battery system can be internal to the UPS cabinet, an Extended Battery Module/s (EBM)s, or a
combination of both. The EBMs are connected in parallel with the internal batteries to provide extended run
time. The battery system is equipped with sealed lead-acid, maintenance-free batteries.
An external battery disconnect switch or tie point must be used when battery systems are located separate
from the UPS cabinet and wiring exceeds the number of battery terminals available.
A supplemental 48 Vdc shunt trip signal for the battery disconnect device is provided by the UPS, but is not
required for normal operation.
