Consider all warnings, cauons, and notes before replacing baeries.
Baery replacement should be performed by qualied service personnel knowledgeable
of baeries and required precauons. Keep unauthorized personnel away from baeries.
When replacing baeries, replace with the same type and number of baeries or baery
packs. Contact your service representave to order new baeries.
Baeries can present a risk of electrical shock or burn from high short circuit current.
Observe the following precauons:
1. Remove watches, rings, or other metal objects.
2. Use tools with insulated handles.
3. Do not lay tools or metal parts on top of baeries.
4. Wear rubber gloves and boots.
Proper disposal of baeries is required. Refer to your local codes for disposal require-
ments.
Never dispose of baeries in a re. Baeries may explode when exposed to ame.
Do not open or mulate the baery or baeries. Released electrolyte is harmful to the
skin and eyes and may be extremely toxic.
Determine if the baery is inadvertently grounded. If inadvertently grounded, remove
source from ground. Contact with any part of a grounded baery can result in electrical
shock. The likelihood of such shock can be reduced if such grounds are removed during
installaon and maintenance (applicable to equipment and remote baery supplies not
having a grounded supply circuit).
ELECTRIC ENERGY HAZARD. Do not aempt to alter any baery wiring or connectors.
Aempng to alter wiring can cause injury.
Disconnect charging source prior to connecting or disconnecting battery terminals.
Replacing the internal baery (For RT)
The internal baery is heavy. Use cauon when handling heavy baeries.
A Phillips head screwdriver is needed to perform this procedure.
1. Take o the LCD box and then remove the 3 xing screws of the front panel.
2. Slide and pull the front panel leward and then take it o.
3. Disconnect the internal baery connector.
4. Unscrew and remove the 2 screws of the metal baery cover.
5. Remove the baery cover to free the baery pack.
6. Pull out the plasc handle of the baery pack and slide the pack out slowly on to a at
and stable surface. Use two hands to support the baery pack.
