Consider all warnings, cauons, and notes before replacing baeries.
• Baery replacement should be performed by qualied service personnel knowledgeable
of baeries and required precauons. Keep unauthorized personnel away from baeries.
• When replacing baeries, replace with the same type and number of baeries or baery
packs. Contact your service representave to order new baeries.
• Baeries can present a risk of electrical shock or burn from high short circuit current.
Observe the following precauons:
1. Remove watches, rings, or other metal objects.
2. Use tools with insulated handles.
3. Do not lay tools or metal parts on top of baeries.
4. Wear rubber gloves and boots.
• Proper disposal of baeries is required. Refer to your local codes for disposal require-
ments.
• Never dispose of baeries in a re. Baeries may explode when exposed to ame.
• Do not open or mulate the baery or baeries. Released electrolyte is harmful to the
skin and eyes and may be extremely toxic.
• Determine if the baery is inadvertently grounded. If inadvertently grounded, remove
source from ground. Contact with any part of a grounded baery can result in electrical
shock. The likelihood of such shock can be reduced if such grounds are removed during
installaon and maintenance (applicable to equipment and remote baery supplies not
having a grounded supply circuit).
• ELECTRIC ENERGY HAZARD. Do not aempt to alter any baery wiring or connectors.
Aempng to alter wiring can cause injury.
• Disconnect charging source prior to connecting or disconnecting battery terminals.
Replacing the internal baery (For RT)
The internal baery is heavy. Use cauon when handling heavy baeries.
A Phillips head screwdriver is needed to perform this procedure.
1. Take o the LCD box and then remove the 3 xing screws of the front panel.
2. Slide and pull the front panel leward and then take it o.
3. Disconnect the internal baery connector.
4. Unscrew and remove the 2 screws of the metal baery cover.
5. Remove the baery cover to free the baery pack.
6. Pull out the plasc handle of the baery pack and slide the pack out slowly on to a at
and stable surface. Use two hands to support the baery pack.
