Connection of RS232/USB communication port
1. Connect the RS232 or USB communicaon cable to the serial or USB port on the com-
puter equipment.
2. Connect the other end of the communicaon cable to the USB or RS232 communicaon
port on the UPS.
The UPS can now communicate with Eaton power management soware.
USB communication is higher priority than RS232, that means when USB and
RS232 are connected at the same time, the RS232 communication will be disable and
only USB communication is enable.
Installaon of the communicaon cards (Oponal)
It is not necessary to shutdown the UPS before installing a communicaon card.
1. Remove the slot cover secured by screws.
2. Insert the communicaon card in the slot.
3. Secure the card cover with the two screws to connect the comm card to the ground.
