Disassembly, Inspection and
Reassembly
A. General
In most cases, the pump will not require a complete over-
haul as described within this section. If the pump needs a
complete overhaul, use the service tools listed below. Repair
of this unit is intricate and should not be attempted without
proper tools.
B. Required Tools Standard Tools for Disassembly:
• Ball peen hammer
• Plastic tip hammer
• Hex (Allen) wrenches
• Wrenches
• Flat tip screw driver
• Lock ring pliers
• Torque Wrench
• Rubber tip hammer
• Petroleum jelly
• Cleaning solvent
Special Tools:
• Dial indicator and Accessories
• Bearing race removal tool, shim stock and Cylinder block
spring decompression tool
• Shaft seal assembly tool
• Force indicator tool
• Bearing race installation tool
• Shim stock or Teon material 8” x 3” x .003”
• 2 Studs (8” long x 0.437 – 14 dia./C1 – 2A thd. class)
