(a) The total time during which take-off thrust may be used is limited to 5 minutes. The 5 minute limit
commences when the throttle is first advanced to the take-off position.
(b) Flight idle speeds are a function of ambient pressure and temperature. The engine control will keep the
engine within its mechanical limits.
