9.4.2 Inlet catchpot
The inlet catchpot traps any liquid droplets and prevents their entry into the pump.
9.4.3 Inlet dust lter
The inlet dust lter protects the pump against abrasive dust.
9.4.4 Inlet desiccant trap
Use a desiccant trap when the pump limited quanes of water vapour at high pumping
speeds to a low vapour pressure.
9.4.5 Inlet chemical trap
The inlet chemical trap protects the pump against chemically acve gases.
9.4.6 Foreline trap
Use a foreline trap on a clean pumping system to prevent back-migraon of pump-oil
vapour into the vacuum system.
9.4.7 Outlet mist lter
The outlet mist lter separates and traps oil droplets in the pump outlet to prevent oil
mist discharge.
9.4.8 Gas-ballast adaptor
Fit the gas-ballast adaptor in place of the gas-ballast control on the pump. The adaptor
allows ng of a solenoid operated gas-ballast valve or a controlled supply of inert gas
to the pump.
9.4.9 Gravity oil drain kit
Fit the oil drain kit between the drain port of the outlet mist lter and the oil ller-plug
on the pump. When the kit is ed, oil will be returned from the mist lter to the pump
when the pump is switched o or when the gas-ballast control is closed (in the ‘0’
posion) and there is no process gas being pumped.
